When to size differently

Step up to the 20 yard, at $495, if you are clearing a whole house, gutting more than one room, or taking out a deck or shed. Bulky material fills a 12 fast even when the weight is light. If you are unsure, call and describe the job; we would rather size it right than sell you a second pull.

12 Yard dumpster: common questions

Will a 12 yard dumpster fit in my driveway?

Yes, in almost every case. It is 14 feet long by 8 feet wide and only 4 feet tall, so it sits inside a standard two-car driveway with room to walk around it. You need about 60 feet of straight approach for the truck.

How much can I put in a 12 yard dumpster?

About 4 to 5 pickup truck loads, with 2 tons of weight included. That covers most garage cleanouts, a single-room remodel or a roof up to roughly 25 squares.

Is the 12 yard big enough for a roof?

For most single-family roofs, yes. Shingles are heavy rather than bulky, so on a tear-off you will usually hit the 2-ton weight line before you run out of space.

What does the 12 yard cost?

$425 for 7 days with 2 tons included, in every town we serve except Richmond Hill, which is $475. The 20 yard is $495. No delivery fee and no fuel surcharge.

Can I put a 12 yard on a gravel or dirt driveway?

Usually yes, if the ground is firm and dry. Tell us the surface when you book. We set every can on wood boards, which helps on soft ground as well as protecting concrete.

What cannot go in it?

No tires, paint, chemicals, batteries, appliances with refrigerant, televisions or medical waste. Everything else from a normal household or jobsite is fine.
